Texas requires changing your license/ID address within 30 days, which always means a replacement card and fee. Vehicle addresses are separate, through TxDMV online or form VTR-146.

- Within 30 days: Change the address on your license or ID within 30 days of moving.
- Online (fastest): Use TxT, the state's digital assistant, if you meet DPS online eligibility; you get a replacement card.
- By mail: Sign form DL-64 and mail it with the $10 fee. Requires an unexpired non-CDL Class A, B, C or CM license, SSN on file, age 18+ and US citizenship. Allow 10 extra days.

- Vehicle title owner address: Mail form VTR-146 to TxDMV Vehicle Titles and Registration, or visit your county tax office.
