- Within 60 days: Two proofs of your new address are required.
- Online if eligible: Class O, Class M or State ID holders with no name change and no more than two replacements in five years.
- Otherwise in person: Permit and CDL holders apply in person with ID, two address proofs and the fee; a new photo is taken.
- Your new card: You get a 30-day paper receipt; the card mails within 14 business days. Contact DMV if not received in 20 days.
- Your vehicle: Vehicle registration addresses are changed through a separate DMV process.
