Michigan lets you update your license/ID and vehicle registration address online for free; the online license change offers to update your vehicles too. You can also update by mail or at an office.

- File a USPS change first: So you don't miss mailed cards, tabs or renewal notices.
- Update your license/ID online: With your license/ID number and last 4 of your SSN. You'll be asked whether to update your vehicle registration too.
- Vehicle only: Use your license/ID number, last 4 of SSN and plate number, then print the updated registration.
- By mail: Use the box on your renewal mailer, or mail form ED-109 to Michigan Department of State, P.O. Box 30764, Lansing, MI 48909-8264.
- What you receive: Standard license/ID holders get an address sticker; enhanced (EDL/EID) holders get a new card.
- Office visit: Self-service stations can't do this; book a visit (about 20 minutes) if needed.
