Ava's answer
Louisiana law requires reporting a permanent move within 10 days. Standard licenses can be updated online, by mail or in person; REAL ID licenses and vehicle registrations need an office visit.

- Report within 10 days: RS 32:406 requires notifying the driver's license division in writing or electronically within 10 days of a permanent move.
- Standard license: Update a standard (non-REAL ID) Class D or E license in person, by mail or online; the new license is mailed to your new address.
- REAL ID license: Change it at an OMV field office or an authorized public tag agent, not online or by mail.
- Vehicle registration: The LA Wallet vehicle address feature is currently unavailable; visit your local OMV office (appointments at offices.omv.la.gov).
- Street renamed?: No cost when the change is due to a local street renaming.
