- Report within 60 days: Existing Georgia drivers have 60 days to update their license address after moving within the state.
- Update your license or ID first: Use your DDS Online Account (with video verification), the DDS 2 GO app, or a DDS Customer Service Center.
- Then update your vehicle: Use DRIVES e-Services with your plate or VIN, license number and proof of residency, or visit your County Tag Office.
- First change is free: Your first address change in a license term is free if more than 6 months remain; later changes cost $10.
- Close to expiring?: Within 150 days of expiration you must renew and pay the renewal fee instead.
- CDL holders: Federal law requires CDL transactions, including address changes, in person.
